Let me tell you a quick story before I end. A few years ago two bright young men decided to start trading. They were very much alike these two men, similar education and background. Both filled with ambitious dreams for the future.

As fate would have it they actually knew each other from childhood and by chance bumped into each another at a seminar.

Once they got chatting they discovered that they had a lot in common. They both were happily married and they both had two children.

But that is where the similarities ended. Even though they both traded full time. One was just barely making enough to pay his rent and the other had property in five different states and often spent large amounts of time at his seaside holiday home in Florida.

Have you ever wondered, as I have, why one would be so much more successful than the other?

They were both equally intelligent and both were as driven as the other.

The real difference lies in what one of them knew and the other didn’t.

One tried to do it his way, the hard way by trial and error. He would probably make it some day but it will take a long time.

The other decided that the fastest way to become successful was to find someone successful in his chosen field and just copy them. Just leverage his knowledge so to speak.

By thinking in this way he leapfrogged over most of the traders who started at the same time he did. It saved him years of study because all he needed to do was just read what someone else had done.
